Project Scope

In June of 2021, Gulf Civil were the successful tenderer for the Reseal of Woologarang East Road, Doomadgee for the Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council in Northern Queensland.

The works involved a significant roadworks scope based on TMR standard specifications. Project included around 3600m of seal. Having the high skilled manpower and resources project started on time and achieved on schedule. Also, the project was able to meet the Client and Community expectations.

The project, funded by the Council consisted of the following:

  • Site Setup and mobilisation
  • st coat seal
  • nd coat seal

Over the duration of the project, the project management team overcame several challenges including:

  • Logistically planning and procuring for best outcome delivery of precast concrete box culvert having high lead time
  • Cultural Heritage and community engagement management
  • Employing and Training local workers for future community Benefit
  • Hiring, training, and employing the people ins very short time frame
  • Ability to maintain a supply chain of required materials, supplies and maintenance consumables for the project within a remote region
