Project Scope
Gulf Civil were engaged by the Burke Shire Council to upgrade the access road to the treatment plant. The works includes site setups and grading of the road with or without imported gravel materials.
The works involved pavement design and sealing of road with bitumen.
The project scope of works includes the following activities:
- Pavement Design
- Removal and treatment of unsuitable materials
- Cut to Fill operations to ensure shape to survey and design tolerance
- Grading with unbound granular materials
- Two coat seal
Over the duration of the project, the project management team overcame several challenges including:
- Project completed well ahead of program and on budget.
- Excellent reviews from both Client and the local council for quality of work.

- Project was completed on time and on budget
- Council and the Client were impressed with Gulf Civil’s Work
- Quality, Survey and Safety were paramount on this project and the team delivered without incident and exceeded the quality expectations of the client in such a short project timeframe.
